Martina Bellieni Vintage Hair Stylist
Hi, Welcome to my online portfolio...
I have been working in the Media Makeup industry for 16 years, I still recall my training at Greasepaint TV & Film School, where I qualified in Media Makeup for Hair, Make-up & Theatre, those days will always hold very dear memories. I was very fortunate to have been trained by my mentors Julia Grutendean and Shauna Harrison. I moved to Pinewood Studios where I trained in Airbrush Makeup Artistry for HD TV & Film by John Woodbridge. Today I continue to work in TV, film, theatre and editorial, with new exciting projects planned for 2018.
Vintage Hair & Makeup has always inspired me, I discovered a passion for Vintage Hair when I have trained with The Vintage Hair Lounge in Vintage Hair Styling for TV and Camera. My first day at Goodwood Revival was one of the best experiences of my career, you will never forget how to backcomb hair once you have done it for 18hrs a day! Those iconic hair styles of the late 20's and 60's add a touch of glamour to any outfit, my personal favourite has to be 1950's, big bangs and waves, are perfect for that special occasion. I have since worked at Goodwood Revival for the past 5 years, the passion and style of those who attend dressed in all their glory is a joy to see every year.
Wedding Hair Styling & Updo's with Award Winning Hair Stylist Pam Wrigley owner and creator of Create Beautiful Hair has given me valuable training which has allowed me to use my skills to re-create modern hair styles with an iconic twist.
I have been writing for Photoshoot Magazine as the Beauty & Events Editor for 3 years. The magazine's ethos is to showcase new industry talent for up and coming student artists from the creative industry. Jane Kelly our Editor in Chief has new and exciting goals for Photoshoot Mag this year designed for the student and artist community.
In 2007 I opened a small and creative training academy 'The Professional Makeup Academy' to bring greater awareness to the student community who want a hands on approach to learning in smaller class sizes. The Academy's ethos was to bring together artists from all backgrounds to share their knowledge, expertise and creativity to provide affordable training courses. Over the last 10 years the academy has taught students and artists from all over the world, many who have gone on to create their own businesses. Robert Smith FX, Paul Wilkins, Angela Youngs are just some of the outstanding artists I am delighted to have worked with at the Academy.
The Media Makeup Event was created and founded to showcase the new emerging talent the UK has to offer, over the last 2 years the shows have taken place in Birmingham, UK. The show works extensively with the student community who are given an opportunity to showcase their talent by working with leading industry artists to learn and improve their skill sets. I have been privileged to be supported by leading industry artists who have donated their time and skills to be part of this new event.
My expertise in the Events industry spans 21 years, working in both private and corporate event management as an Event Organiser, I have been privileged to work in many of London's most prestigious landmarks, overseeing events for Heads of State, British Royalty, VIPs. Today I am very proud of my small team I continue to work and grow with, who come from a variety of backgrounds with a host of experience allowing us to compliment and serve our clients.
If you have an event which you would like to discuss I would be delighted to hear from you, alternatively if you would like to enquire about my Hair & Makeup services please do not hesitate to contact me.
